Hibiscus tea has been the preferred drink of many cultures, dating as far back as ancient Egypt. Pharaohs would refresh themselves from the Nile Valley heat by enjoying a sour-sweet cupful. Our delicious Hibiscus black tea pairs this tangy flower with bright and brisk Ceylon tea. Layered, fruity-spicy aroma and flavour. Rich, tangy and punchy, great hot or iced!

This tea contains a high level of caffeine | Steep at 100°C for 3 minutes.

Our teabags contain the same high-quality tea as our loose tea offerings. Their pyramid shape gives the leaves plenty of room to unfurl and infuse, placing more flavour in each cup. Enjoy the superior flavour of gourmet tea with the convenience of a disposable bag.

ingredients & lore

blended with black tea, hibiscus and natural hibiscus flavour
Herbal beverages made from hibiscus, a large and flavourful flower, are consumed hot and cold in many parts of the world. It's known as Bissap in West Africa, Karkadé in Egypt and Sudan, flor de Jamaica in Mexico, Gongura in India and Brazil. Some refer to it as 'roselle', a common name for the hibiscus flower. Dried hibiscus is edible, too (although prepare yourself for a powerful, punchy tang!) and is a special treat in Mexico.
